The chinchilla is weighed and placed on a simple hay diet for the first few days (exceptions are made if the chinchilla is underweight)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The chinchilla is placed in quarantine and kept under observation for the first few weeks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the chinchilla lacks a known background, pedigree, or other papers, it is registered as a PET in the CAS association and receives a registration certificate where sex, color, approximate age, and other information are listed (previous owners are not listed).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the chinchilla is assessed to be in good condition, it can be taken to an exhibition for further evaluation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Chinchillan f\u00e5r stanna h\u00e4r s\u00e5 l\u00e4nge den beh\u00f6ver. The fee exists because I cannot guarantee that the chinchilla has received proper care or diet while it has been away, and therefore cannot guarantee the new home that it will not develop dental problems or other issues.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Requirements for adopting a rehomed pet<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The purchase agreement must be signed by an adult<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You are over 18 years old<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You should have previous experience taking care of rescues, and be well-informed about behavior, diseases, and ailments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You must be prepared to keep the chinchilla for the rest of its life.
